Bon, OK, ce n'est pas de la cuisine typiquement française.... un peu cousine, québécoise, ou ricaine.... alors, on a pensé qu'avec un peu de blues ça irait bien.
À toi de jouer Laurent, Mister Blues, après tout, le sirop d'érable à la cannelle c'est ton idée.
2 œufs / 2 eggs
150 g de farine / 0,4 pound flour
1 sachet de levure chimique / baking powder
15 cl de lait / 5 oz milk
1 pincée de sel / 1 pinch of salt
1 cuillère à soupe de sucre + 1 / 1 tablespoon sugar + 1
1 cuillère à soupe d'huile / 1 tablespoon oil
2 pommes / 2 apples
Sirop d'érable / Maple syrup
Cannelle / Cinnamon
Mélanger la farine, le sucre, la levure et le sel dans un saladier / Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl
Ajouter les œufs battus, le lait et l'huile. Battre / Add whisked eggs, milk and oil. Beat.
Laisser reposer 1 h / Let during 1 h
Cuire dans une poêle graissée les tranches de pommes / Bake in a greased pan slices of apple
Ajouter la cuillère de sucre et le sirop d'érable / Add 1 tablespoon sugar and maple syrup
Parsemer de cannelle / Sprinkle with cinnamon
Mélanger, laisser caraméliser un peu / Mix, let caramelize a bit
Dans une petite poêle graissée verser un peu de pâte puis quelques tranches de pomme par dessus / In a hot greased pan pour the dough and put above some slices of apple
Cuire 3' de chaque côté / Bake 3' every side

I knew there was a possibility of ants in my cereal but i poured myself a bowl and ate it anyway. Though midway through i found an ant crawling on my bowl, and then i found one in my spoonful, so that is when i decided maybe i should have another breakfast.

Almond cookies I made for work in Abbotsford. I must say these turned out really well with cinnamon. It's easy to do baking when you have few distractions.

this is one of my favorite treats. it mightn't look very appetizing in a photograph but it's delicious. toasted cinnamon & raisin bagels with melted wensleydale cheese & fresh vine ripened tomatoes, topped with a generous sprinkling of basil. mmmmm.... ♥
